Addiction, trauma, and mental health issues do not discriminate. No matter how bright your star shines on Hollywood Boulevard, at the end of the day we are all human. We all deal with different degrees of recovery.


Just when you thought you had nothing in common with the latest "it" girl, here are 10 celebrities who are sober women, just like you!

“I found myself drinking two bottles of wine on the couch and I said, ‘Jada, I think we’ve got a problem here,’” she said (via Contact Music). “I had problems with alcohol and I really had to get in contact with the pain, whatever that is, and then I had to get some other tools in how to deal with the pain. From that day on I went cold turkey.

The 35-year-old singer, posted on Instagram to share the milestone with her 1.2 million fans.

"1 year completely sober! So grateful for my health and happiness," she captioned a series of snaps and a photo of her before she went sober.

The star got sober in November 2017 and hasn’t had a drink since. “Giving up the alcohol was easy,” she says. “I was mad at that bottle.
